Retired IOD Stamps complete archive by Bluebird Mercantile

If you are trying to remember the name of an older Iron Orchid Designs stamp—or wondering whether a favorite IOD design has been retired—this is the list I wish every maker had in one place.

Iron Orchid Designs updates its product line over time, so beloved stamps may be retired, discontinued or offered only as limited editions. Retired does not mean the stamp is outdated or unusable. It simply means regular stockist availability has ended. Occasionally a design may return for a special release, but that is never guaranteed.

Looking for one that is still available? Visit our Retired IOD Products collection. That collection automatically shows only the retired and limited-edition products currently in stock. Bluebird Mercantile ships throughout the United States.

Complete retired and limited-edition IOD stamps list

This archive was updated in September 2026. Some product names appeared with slightly different wording on packaging or retailer listings. When Bluebird Mercantile has an existing product page, the name below links to it—even if the item is now sold out—so makers can still see and identify the design.

Frequently asked questions about retired IOD stamps

What does “retired” mean for an IOD stamp?

A retired IOD stamp is no longer part of the regular current product line. A stockist may still have a small amount of original inventory, but most retired designs cannot be reordered through normal stockist channels.

Are limited-edition IOD stamps the same as retired stamps?

Not exactly. A limited-edition stamp was intentionally produced for a restricted release, while a retired stamp may once have been part of the regular line. Once either is no longer available to reorder, shoppers often search for both as discontinued IOD stamps.

Can retired IOD stamps still be used?

Absolutely. Retirement changes availability, not how the stamp works. Properly cleaned and stored IOD stamps can be used again for furniture painting, signs, fabric, walls, pottery, paper crafts and mixed-media projects.

Does Bluebird Mercantile ship IOD products outside Florida?

Yes. Bluebird Mercantile ships available IOD products to customers throughout the United States.

Where can I see which retired IOD products are available now?

Shop the Retired IOD Products collection. Sold-out items are removed from that collection automatically, so what you see there is what is currently available to order.

This archive is maintained as a reference for IOD makers and collectors. Product availability and future rereleases can change.
